Using Hashtags in Twitter helps identify you to your Target Market.  For example, many times I will write and post articles under #social media or #personal branding.  But, if you have a health & wellness business you can include hashtags in your Tweet.  On Monday it used to be known as #eco-Monday.   So, if I found an article on green products that I wanted to share I would include that hashtag.  Also, if you want to find connections in your target market you could see who is using the hashtag and then follow them.

I have a Twitter account, but don't really know how best to use it. What's a Twitter party? Is it a group chat?

How fun!  My first "Twitter Party"!  I am on Twitter all the time & look forward to sharing with the group things that I have found that are useful including "dos and don'ts".
