Social Media..can be overwhelming..

Good Morning Ladies! Hope we are all having a productive week! Question as you work toward the end of the week- do you enjoy Social Media- but sometimes find it overwhelmeing, or am I alone out there? I hope I'm not alone. Totally addicted to my Twitter and Facebook- I am lost without them (during the recent Blackberry/RIM outage I learned that!) As I move toward using them for business as well as for fun I realize there is always something more to learn. These are only -2- platforms of how many out there?? No, that is a a real question- I have NO IDEA how many Social Media options are out there...and I'm thinking it's best that way, because if I am overwhelemed now- the task of doing business on Social Media would seem truly impossible. Oh well, good thing they made it a heck of alot of fun!! The days of cut and past print advertising are gone, or never existed, for many of us- now we live by words like affiliate advertising, and analytics...it is a new world out there- and I Love It! (even if I am overwhelemed at times....) Enjoy the end of your week!!

For your business I would suggest finding a few platforms other than Twitter and facebook you like. In the world of authors I've seen the sites turn into spamming tools that people are just not paying attention to. When I promote myself and other authors I find that Reddit and StumbleUpon sometimes direct more traffic back to blogs and websites.

There are so many social media platforms but who has time for more than a few lol? I am overwhelmed just by Twitter!! Try and stay focused with the ones you are on and don't stretch yourself too thin:)
