Hi Debby - I used to be a smoking cessation counselor. Try getting citrus fruit into your system. That helps stop the nicotine drive. Also get in exercise - that can help as well. Think oranges!!!! Let me know if you need more info. Kathy

Debby.. my friend is on Chantix. She has been on it for one week and today had NO cigarettes. She was a heavy smoker. The craving is gone. I so hope you can kick this dreadful habit. I know you can do it!!

- Hi Debby! I am a 59 yr old married woman that smokes. I've cut down from up to 10 cigarettes a day to one pack per week. I've never been a heavy smoker but to quit completely? Nooo! I like to smoke too much. I will do everything I need to do to talk care of myself....but I will still smoke one or two cigarettes a day. I enjoy it. I have had complete physical work ups and the Dr.'s say they are surprised that I smoke. My secret is: I never learned to or liked to INHALE!!

I know a lot of folks who found and married their mate there, but I didn't have any luck. Met a couple of nice men (and a lot of creeps - be very careful out there!), and even met a couple of guys who ended up being (very) distant cousins! It's an experience, for sure.
I'm 54, divorced, smart, reasonably attractive and in good shape, but I have no good place to meet guys either. I work at a college in the Athletics Dept., so am surrounded by young studs who love the idea of an "older woman," LOL, but that, of course, is a big no-no!! The rest of the campus population is pretty much all married (or gay), so no source there. Not really into the bar-hopping scene, so am fairly resigned to the fact that I'll probably live alone - at least until I change jobs, or locations, and can meet some new people.

There is hope in the dating department:) My boyfriend is absolutely amazing. I am so blessed. He has never show me any red flags that I always had with other guys. He has been constant, caring and true to his work:) I so hope you find someone like him.
