In the famous MLM eBook, "Think and Grow Rich", the author Napoleon Hill points out the power of decision and the action that follows using the example of the 1776 radical decision by our continental congress to wage war with the most powerful nation on earth and declare our independence and start a new nation.

Have you ever stopped to ponder how things might be different if we did not have George Washington and his persistence? Imagine the path that would have been chosen for the country. The power of the decisions that were made many years ago still effect how we do things today.

I am quite sure that everyone has heard the name Henry Ford? Ford invented the automobile and the internal combustion engine. Fords great engineers told him time and time again that the v shape engine will never work. His associates pleaded with him to give up the design and keep what was already in place. Ford declined to give up on what he thought would work. Thanks to that decision we now enjoy the V8 and the V6 and some people have a V12 engine. We should think about Ford's determination and the action to keep going when all else failed.

The real problem is that most people must change their mindset but we fear the power of a decision. We fear change even if we know it will move us closer to our goals and dreams. 

The only time we should fear a decision is when we make it impulsively or when all of our research says no and we do it anyway. That is when we need to be careful.

I am now 38 years old have spent 20 Years serving this Great Country. When I was 18 years old, I made the BOLD decision to join the U.S. Air Force. I joined the Air Force right at the peak of the First Gulf War. I was sent to Basic Training at Lackland AFB TX. I was then sent overseas to Okinawa Japan. I spent 3 1/2 years in Japan. I was married had my first son at 19. I spent my days guarding Aircraft and providing Law Enforcement on the Base. What a wonderful time I had in Japan. Learned a lot about my job and started my College Education. I have a whole life I could tell you about that includes children, parents, places I have lived and been stationed and oh so much more. I have traveled the world. I met great people, mentors and leaders whom I learned so much from and still keep in touch with.

However, when I made that decision at 18 years old, I could have easily chosen the Army, or another branch of service. Gosh I could have even left home and burst out on my own. Looking back, I wonder what would my life would have been if I had chosen differently. Think about the decisions you have made and you will discover; "THE LIFE YOU HAVE NOW IS THE LIFE YOU CHOSE TO HAVE."

What I now know is this, when we make a decisions there are many possible outcomes. Some of them we know right away. If I steal, I will go to jail. If I don't work my business like I am suppose to I won't make any money. So even today, I have to weigh every decision and make sure that what I decide moves me forward and upward to the next level and I will reap rewards instead of pay consequences.

The first decision that we have to make is that we are going to do something about our lives that will move us toward the lifestyle we want and to have the things we wish to have for ourselves and those whose lives, we wish to impact.
