You may be surprised that some of the hottest spring 2011 color trends for clothing and accessories are very vivid and bold, especially when paired with the popular floral patterns and 70s inspired pieces. The following top five hues are red-hot for the upcoming warmer months, and more designers are featuring them on runways across the world. More boutiques are spotlighting them among their spring collections, making them readily available in all sizes!
Spring 2011 Color Trends: Pink
Honeysuckle, which is a rich, reddish pink hue,
continues to be one of the most popular spring 2011 color trends.
It made it into PANTONE’s top 10 list, which is inspired by the top
New York designers in women’s fashion, and since then it has crept
into all aspects of spring fashion and accessories. Capitalize on
the super trendy bold contrast trend by pairing pink shades with
corals, teals or greens, or tone them down with earth tones like
khaki.
Spring 2011 Color Trends: Orange
Coral Rose, an orange-red hue, and Beeswax, a
medium orange-yellow shade, are two very popular orange choices
among the spring 2011 color trends, both making it onto the PANTONE
top 10 list. Orange can be a difficult hue to wear depending on
your skin tone, but fortunately the spring 2011 styles span a wide
range of juicy shades. For the first time in several seasons, whole
garments are hitting the racks in a single shade of orange, such as
the popular Coral Rose. One statement item, like a Coral dress,
paired with simple gold jewelry and playful heels can be an
eye-catching, but not overwhelming, addition to your wardrobe.
Spring 2011 Color Trends: Lavender
Lavender is the one of the most easy spring 2011
color trends to incorporate into your personal style, as it is a
shade beautiful on most skin tones, and it pairs wonderfully with
neutral tones or other spring hues for a vivid contrast. Many
pieces are super feminine, with ruffles or floral patterns, both of
which are very popular for this season. Lavender is also on the
PANTONE top 10 list for women’s fashion chosen for this spring.
Spring 2011 Color Trends: Blue
Bright, loud blue garments are perfect for the
spring 2011 color trends, ranging from a rich navy into a bold and
eye-catching aqua. Regatta, a medium true blue, made it onto the
PANTONE top 10 list for this season, making it a very popular
choice. Blues are increasingly common as a choice for contrast
outfits, being paired with super chic orange for a stunning look
composed opposite placement on the color wheel. Blue Curacao, a
deep aqua shade, also made it onto the PANTONE top 10 list, and
many designers are pairing these blue hues together in spring
garments.
Spring 2011 Color Trends: White
Perhaps white is an absence of color, but it
remains one of the most desirable spring 2011 color trends on the
runway and in stores. The minimal white trend, in which an outfit
is predominately white without much embellishment, continues to be
very popular as if garments are welcoming the summer heat. You can
pair a white garment with any of these other hot hues for an
instant spark of style, making white one of the most flexible and
versatile of the spring 2011 color trends.
