Are you one of those people that scar easily? What
about those chicken pox scabs you picked off when you were little.
Yup, those could have left scars too. Before we talk about remedies
for healing scars, let’s discuss prevention. First of all, it is
important to know that some people scar more than others. In these
people, scars actually lift up and look like a scar and this type
of scar is called a Keloid. Keloid scars usually have a dark purple
pink color but like all scars, the color fades over time. So, what
causes scars? We know the answer right? Wounds do. Depending on the
severity of the wound, the time it takes for the new skin to cover
the wound varies. By keeping the wound slightly moist with
antibiotic treatment, we can make wounds heal faster.
These are some natural remedies for healing scars: (1) zinc and a balanced diet (2) lubrication (3) sunblock (4) being gentle and not scrubbing while washing (5) applying honey (6) applying olive oil (7)
This concludes our remedy list for healing scars. Remember to ask your physician before changing your diet, applying ointments or taking any supplements. Hope this helps you, and if it does, please let me know. (^-^)
See you next week! Remember to eat healthy, exercise, and enjoy your natural remedies.
