Celebrities Facing the New Year Alone

Okay so you’ve all heard the rumor mill over the past year about who’s dating who, outlandish weddings and heart wrenching breakups….and for the most part we’ve soaked up every minute of it. I mean who doesn’t like a bit of juicy celebrity gossip??

From the Twilight Saga real life romance involving Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson to the fairytale marriage of Hilary Duff and her handsome honey, Mike Comrie, tales of Hollywood love had us gushing with bliss and rooting for our favorite star couples.

…But alas some good things do come to an end. For instance – we were all heart broken (though maybe not surprised) when America’s sweetie, Sandra Bullock and cheating ex-husband Jessie James called it quits. Let’s face it we all knew the hubby was a bit edgy but most times opposites attract and because we absolutely adore Sandra we were hoping for the best- they seemed happy.

Don’t forget about Halle. Ms. Berry and Gabriel Aubry bid adieu to “I do” and decided to leave the wedding vows behind. The Merry Ms. Berry! She glows and lights up the screen with her smile but Cupid’s arrow is always a tad off when it comes to aiming for her Mr. Right. Of course we don’t know the circumstances but don’t you feel her pain? We’ve all been in that endless cycle of relationships that never seem to work out.

…Oh and then there’s… Shania Twain & Robert Lange (uh hello – he goes by the name “Mutt” – not that we’re calling him that literally – you be the judge) and there’s Ryan Reynolds and Scarlett Johansson. Total bummer! They were so cute together…and the list goes on…Courteney Cox and David Arquette, Tiger Woods and Elin Nordegren, Kate Walsh and Alex Young, Bobby Brown and Whitney…oh wait…that was ages ago – but you get the point. It’s so horribly sad.

Even the Disney kids are having a rough time in the passion department. Vanessa Hudgens and ex - boyfriend Zac Efron are reportedly still on friendly terms but this provides little comfort to teeny boppers who so excitedly envisioned a “Happily Ever After”.

So what’s the bottom line folks? Although we love them and make them a part of our television viewing lives – they are human just like us. They have feelings, ups and downs, marriages, divorces, children, alimony, child support, perfections, flaws, stress and lots of heart burn. Basically they have a life. How they live it is not up to us to decide but here’s wishing the best to the lonely & broken hearted.

…And hopefully if they have to go into the New Year alone it won’t matter much & they’ll find solace within… because if you can’t love yourself why bother letting anyone else do it for you.

I prefer to be in a relationship myself, but it is very important to be happy with yourself when you are not involved. I was never good at that... fortunately, I have a great relationship now. I wouldn't trade it!

New Years Eve for me does not have a lot of importance since I have to work normally a 12 hour day on New Years Day. Consequently, I go to bed normally before midnight!
