It appears that Charlie Sheen is
no stranger to 911 calls once again! He apparently did not
want 911 called and we can presume that he most likely didn't
want the police and media contacted, which is no surprise
considering his mounting legal and professional troubles!
He called his neighbor, Dr Paul Nassif, the husband of Housewives of Beverly Hills star, Adrienne Malouf and asked him not to call 911. Mr. Nassif reported in the 911 call that Charlie was told he was "very intoxicated and in a lot of pain."
Does anyone really feel empathy for him. I certainly do not. When are celebrities like Charlie Sheen who have everything that one could hope to achieve in a lifetime going to realize how despicable their acts really are!

I feel for anyone who has an addiction. Unfortunately, Mr. Sheen has a reputation for being a bad boy. He is currently under a microscope. Joe, down the street, goes through this stuff all the time. And Dede, what about Mike? Same problems, not a star, so it doesn't matter. The media seems to love exposing the weaknesses of humans when they should be leaving those people alone and encouraging a successful recovery. I, for one, would not like anyone publicizing my issues while attempting to fight my demons.
Mr. Sheen has had a plethora of opportunites to fix his issues, but the system has really let him down. In general, most junkies (and I mean any additction) seem to have a rough time of fighting their issues due to the lack of self control, low self esteem, perhaps pain and turmoil, and basically enjoy the vice.
Quitting smoking is easy. I have done it without and help. You just want to do it. You cannot be on the fence about it. You must make that choice. I agree that withdrawal symptoms from many vices can very from mild discomfort to severe pain, but in order to facilitate a healthy recovery, a person must have the right doctors to ensure that all bases are covered.
I have to agree with Dede that people like Mr. Sheen and Ms. Lohan are not worthy of my empathy, however, all situations are not black and white. How many times did it take Robert Downey Jr? He finally has gotten straight after incarcerations. rehab, and near death experiences.
I think the media over dramatizes personal business of the stars for ratings. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy the latest salacious story, but I wonder sometimes what effect does the 'dirty laundry' being aired has on the person. I think the media should better serve us by helping us, not poking fun. But hey, gossip sells.
Frankly, I prefer my news basic. Tell me what it is, good or bad, and stop peppering it with crap.
