Are you the outgoing person at Networking events or you that person that stands off to the side or sits at a table waiting to meet people at networking events? One tip that you can implement that will drive more exposure to you and your business is to be that person who arrives early at the event gets settled in.

As people arrive walk up to them and introduce yourself. Tell them your name shake hands and maybe tell them what company you are with. Exchange business cards, but don’t blast them with a sales pitch or try to push your product! Don’t be that person at an event that is trying to sell your product or service. That is what everyone else there is trying to do. One it gives a bad image and turns people off. Second you want the opportunity to build a relationship with that person.

As a reminder, when you exchange business cards with the other person take the card and look at it. You may even want to say oh you are with XYZ Company that is great. Don’t just take the card and stuff it in your purse or pocket. In addition don’t turn the card over in front of the person and write notes on the card.

If you just take the card and write on it stuff it away it is just like saying to that person that you are not important and writing on the card is like writing on that person’s face. Remember your business card is your face so to speak. If you need to jot down something about that person do so after you walk away.

Then immediately take that person and introduce them to someone else already there. Well you may say that sounds great but I am too shy to do that. You must decide what it is that you want to achieve with your business and go out there and achieve greatness!

By doing this simple tip it shows that you are taking a genuine interest in the person. You are carrying yourself with great confidence and you are like an ambassador to the event. If you act like the Host of the event more people will be drawn to you giving you greater advantage.

Remember ACT like a Success   and carry yourself with confidence to build rapport with your contacts and be that ambassador that everyone wants to surround themselves around. If you want to be as Top earner in your company you must do the hard stuff. It is powerful to add that person touch.
