Hi Everyone,

Being a work at home mom is the bravest decision I ever made. (Not like I had so much choice in the matter). But for me, it can be really lonely. I'm glad for the opportunity to 'mingle' with so many WAHMs.

I am aware that loneliness is just one of the challenges we WAHMs face. For some it is lack of adequate capital to expand their business.

Could you share what business you're in and what challenges you face? If there are ways you have come up with to overcome your challenges, please share so we all can learn from them. If not, just share and get some sister encouragement.

Hugs,

Sharon

I have 2 businesses that I am currently working on building teams for and customers.  1) Mary Kay business and 2) Melaleuca business.  My Mary Kay business has been put on hold until just recently because I was pregnant and unable to do facials and parties since I was so close to being due.  It's a good thing that I wasn't doing those since I had the baby on August 29.  I have been placing free ads online to get more interest and putting my business cards anywhere there is a peg board or a place to put them.  I am currently working on building a team with Mary Kay so I can go on target for my car.  I need to get 4 more people and have them active and get $5,000 a month in wholesale production for 4 months.  To qualify for the car, I need 14 people total, all active, and $5,000 a month in wholesale production.  I could really use the car.  2) Melaleuca business is a health and wellness company that has all natural products.  None of the products have any toxins in them.  There are products such as hair care such as shampoo, conditioner, vitamins and supplements, food for staying fit/losing some weight, cleaning supplies such as for the all purpose cleaners, glass cleaner, laundry supplies, body wash, skin care and cosmetics.  Obviously I promote the other items over skin care and cosmetics for Melaleuca with my Mary Kay business, but the customer always has the choice to purchase from my Mary Kay business or Melaleuca. I also had to get a job outside the house to be able to help with bills and such since my other businesses aren't providing all the income my family and I needs right now.  That will change when I am able to get more people interested in my businesses.
Well I run a dating service but also have a health and weight loss coaching job too.  It works for me as weight loss is a booming business.  people are more aware of toxins in their bodies, hair, lungs.  That is why I went to this company and it is working very well for me.  All you need are 2 people in the business..no cars and not that much money in sales to do well.  That is what I LOVE about it.  Congrats on your new baby, your one busy Mom
I shut down my Melaleuca business, but I loved buying the products.  I am working at Michaels in my hometown and am currently seeking another job to be my main source of income along with my Mary Kay business.  I found out today that I didn't get a paycheck in paper form or direct deposit and not on the schedule at all next week.  Visit my Mary Kay page at www.marykay.com/lcampbell25. I also go to school full-time and have 3 kids.
