Since my synthetic hormones, estratest were discontinued, I have struggled to find stability in my life. For anyone that suffers from chronic and permanent severe hormonal symptoms, the effects of menopause can be devastating.

I have been trying to find a solution with bioidentical homornes, trying it in gel, capsule and cream form and have not found the stability within the prescriptions to bring me back to the way I was feeling on estratest. I would start out feeling better but then would regress a bit.

Two weeks later, I can tell you that I am feeling amazingly better and am excited about not having to take a daily pill, cream or gel again. The pellets are injected under your skin and in about 2 weeks, I will go back to the doctor to get my blood drawn to check my hormonal levels.

There is a set fee that is charged for the injection and I will not be charged if they need to adjust my levels. My doctor said that I will probably need them every 6 months and the cost is actually a bit less than receiving my prior prescription with insurance. The pellets are not covered by insurance and hopefully this will change over time.
