Thanks Ninette! I have been eating the usual Texan fare... Beef and Mexican since moving here. Time to clean up my diet. I never ate like this:)

I don't have a ledge on my window in the kitchen to grow herbs but do have a desk there that I don't use. I"m thinking of growing a small herb garden there.

Hi Ladies!

Do any of you have any ideas on some new ways to use fennel? I absolutely love it but I'm stuck in a rut of using the same two ways. I'm in need of some now ideas....HELP!

Hello Ladies!

I absolutely love basil! I just wish I had a place in the kitchen window....or any window...to grow some. :(

Good Morning Ninette!

I so agree with you about growing a few fresh herbs and the wonderful benefit of better taste for all your meals. Bet many do not know how wonderful and inexpensive basil is to grow in a sunny window INSIDE your house. All who step inside my door do the 'wow' thing and ask what is that wonderful air freshner? Seriously, when the hot sun hits the basil it is magical..... it will wilt, but with a watering, it will perk right back up and be just gorgeous. Also, plan on the largest pot that you can fit in your window or build a stand for the pot in front of a sunny window, because it grows pretty large and leafy green. Try growing Basil if you don't do any other..... you will love it.

Hi Ninette! I love the birds:) I have been eating so badly this week. I am actually ashamed at myself. Will be back on track on Thursday. Going to have time to go shopping and restock:)

Have a great week Divas!

Ninette, you would be so proud of me. I am eating well, sleeping more and exercising like a maniac:) I still need more sleep than I am getting but only so many hours in a day:)

being greek, we ate this way when I was younger....times have changed....my hubby and I do not like the same foods....it's hard to make a meal we both like...most of the time I make whatever he wants...my own diet is little red meat, mostly veggies, salads, fruits, love pasta, chicken/turkey, sometimes pork (a hotdog or hamburger doesn't scare me away either! lol)...I don't skip desserts if I feel like it...use mostly EVOO and sprays, some margarines...no salt for myself, but will use sea salt when necessary...there's more, but this is already too lengthy!

Eating the Mediterranean way seems to be the healthiest and one that I am finding that I prefer.
