Hi, I'm Alice and I grew up in a foster home in Tennessee (from age 3 to 21). The reason I stayed till 21 was because I received a work scholarship to a local business college and trained as a medical secretary.  Also, having graduated high school with honors, the state allowed me to stay in foster care (pay for my room and board as well as receive medical coverage) till I finished my education.  After moving to Montana and marrying, I became a foster parent for 5 years with my husband.  We loved it, and even wanted to adopt one of the children in our home, but she decided otherwise.  We then moved for 9 years back to Tennessee with our natural born children.  Now we are in Montana again and my husband wants to work another 10 years at his government job and then retire.  I have been in the long paperwork process of getting licensed to do intense therapeutic foster care again through the same agency we worked with before.  It has been over a year and very tedious as there have been several staff changes with the company -- Youth Dynamics.  We are so close to finishing.  Due to it taking so long, I am currently working for a company that has 3 group homes in the area.  My plan is to now ease into foster care by doing some weekend respite care for foster parents through Youth Dynamics. There are so many children in need of a good stable loving home.  I commend anyone doing this hard 24/7 full time job!!!

Hi every1 , Im melissa and i have been considering foster parenting , i had sum info mailed out to me about the process , i think it would be great for me , i have no children of my own (cant) , and im open to any advice or encourageing words of support , im also a great listener so im here if u need me .

HI I am 26 I am in school for social work and I plan on starting a foster home as soon as i can I would like to meet more people that are interested in this.

What all did you need to do to complete the course or classes. That's my dream to become an adoptive mom. can you give me some dierction on which way to go. I have done some research of my own. i am 29 years old have an high school diploma and college. please let me know ok.
