Great topic Tamika! I had the best spa experience 8 years ago with my two younger sisters at the Cranwell Resort, in the Berkshires of Massachusetts! Facials, hot stone therapy, pedicure, big fluffy white robes, a steam room and sauna! It was BLISS!

O My! I got to study in Ireland this past summer and my Lovely Mother, Grandma and G-ma's best friend flew over to see me after the classes were over. We stayed at an amazing spa in Cork, Ireland where there was a constant stream of water trickling throughout the whole building! My Mom is awesome and definitely got me a massage and Hot Rock Pedicure! It was so great to hang with the girls of my family and be totally pampered complete with a great lunch, tea etc. Ill never forget the relaxing feeling of swimming around in the relaxation pool.
haha to be honest tho, I must have had years of tension built up in stress pockets because after the massage I was actually sore! But a couple days later I felt better than ever :)

I loved the his and hers pedicure at Artistry in Port Orange. My mom gave my husband and I a his and her pedicure for our anniversary one year. She watched the kids and it was quite divine~!

My husband bought me a gift certificate to a wonderful spa in Virginia Beach for Christmas one year. It was FANTASTIC!! I had a hot stone massage, white tea body scrub, facial, mani and pedi. It took all day....and I loved every minute of it!!
I'd love to find a great spa in/near Daytona Beach.

A true story and be warned I am setting a bar here :) This is not quite the same and i have gotten to experience alot due to my calling in the healing arts, but i love this story and it is good to know a pamper self experience also --even with all the prep. Back in the day i was taking an essential oils class with Jeannie Rose one of our asssignments was to write a paper about extracting our own essences. I was blessed with a fanatic rose grower who lived next door and organic to boot! I had let him use the side of the garage for 3 fragrant climbing roses 2 golds and a pink, so it is early spring roses just coming in and i get the notion to use the Roman/Cleopatra method for eo extraction :)
Early in the morning I cleaned the br thoroughly, by 730A am out snipping all the just opening buds, they were not quite in full bloom --i quit at a bushel and brought them in stripped the heads into the tub and filled it with rose petals and steamy hot water, had my water, coffee and various niceties handy which i did not use at all. The oils floated on the water Bliss!!! and i totally skipped the rest as there were so many petals i sat on them scrubbed with them bathed myself in self indulgent sensual glory and :) got an A from JR and I think she drooled on my paper as well-- so suck it up ladies unless we organize a trip to Thailand to the premiere spa on the planet you will have to use this as a current spa model LOL

Tamika I have had poor spa experiences however a good massage is always right - never wrong and and the more you get the better it is now on to real work, later

For my last birthday celebration, my sisters and girlfriends surprised me with a brunch/spa party at Soma Fit http://www.somafit.com/. It was about twelve of us. We had a private room that the girls nicely decorated. They fixed food. We relaxed in the private room, until each of us was called for our service(s). Everyone chipped in for my services so of course I got the works; a message, facial, pedicure and manicure. Some of us did the sauna. When everyone finished with their service(s), we all returned to the private room. We ate, we drank and had a really good time. It was a fabulous experience.
