I have been on a fast track for so long now that it is time to put the brakes on a bit and enjoy life. After over 5 years of being single, I have found a great guy and am starting to pull back a bit on my self destruction.

By that, I simply mean that I intend to stop working so hard, feeling bad about my life and losses and enjoy my new guy and the life that I have now. I am healthy, employed and in love. Those alone a few years back would not have been enough.

Working 80 plus hours weekly has not had a positive effect on my life or ability to form relationships offline. It has caused me to develop severe anxiety and last year I got Shingles. Living life and not just working to live is my main goal in 2010.

So, I am going to cut back drastically on my work load and start sleeping much more than I have the past few years. Three to five hours per night of sleep is not sufficient time to rest your body and refresh your brain.

My Resolution is to take care of myself by sleeping more, eating healthy and working out on a regular basis.

What is your New Year's Resolution and are you really planning on sticking to it?

I guess my resolution is sort of similar to yours. I was a self sabotage person. I say "was" because my resolution is to stop making myself unhappy. Start living and appreciate what you have instead of being worried about what you don't!
Absolutely:) Life is WAY to short to worry about what you "could of", "should have done". It would nice to turn back the clock and start over but also great to have the knowledge to not repeat the past and have the experience to do it better:)
I think that 2010 is going to be a GREAT year!!

My resolutions are the typical...quit smoking (it has been 2 weeks now and not one drag..so far so good); to eat healthier (since I quit smoking i am eating candy and chocolate like a banshee woman..so failing this one for now), excersize more and get back into shape, (once again since the no smoke thing I amgaining wait and getting depressed, so i don't want to exercise.. argh!!). So there you have it, 1 out of 3 aint bad.

Hi
My New Years Resoluntion is to lose weight. My son is getting married in July and I would like to lose some weight before I have to put on a fancy dress for the wedding. I bought the Wii Fitness Coach and tried it out. Like it so far, but I am going to have to work on watching what I eat and drink. I hate the idea of giving up my Coke, but I will have to if I plan on losing any weight. Darn, that will be the hardest thing for me to do. I hate diet drinks.
