Each month, sample boxes are compiled for customers to purchase.  It enables the customers to try a variety of products for a single shipping fee, so it's good for them.  And there's no cost to the sponsors except for the samples themselves and the shipping to get them to the lady who compiles the boxes.  (Well, and whatever business cards or whatever you put with your samples so buyers know where they came from.)
