New members soon might have to go through a review

I had to delete a guy that joined today with a very inappropriate photo. By that, I mean he was nude. What do you think? I am afraid that it will slow down our membership.

IMO the best way to bring credibility to Diva Cafe, is to approve pending memberships. There are countless ning sites labeled as "business networking" or "women networking" that disappoint with spammers and those who have unwanted agendas.

Hi Ty, the problem is that I am away all day normally and cannot approve. People like instant gratification and I hate to make them wait. I agree that I will soon have to do this. I just hated to restrict our site. Perhaps, I can withdraw from all my other Ning memberships to also cut back on it.

I work so hard to keep our site's standards as high as possible and the situation that I encountered today was very upsetting.

I am sure it was an isolated case. Also, you might have a rule where you have to approve all photos.

It took a week for my membership to be approved in Martha Stewart's ning blog. I thought they forgot about me! But I understand.

I think a 24-hr waiting period is reasonable. Anyone who is seriously looking to network will (or should) understand. Many credible ning sites offer waiting periods.

Hi Ty! It is coming very soon. I am so sorry that people abuse a site and that we have to have these restrictions in place!
