Hi Penny!
I think that it is normal for everyone to have these feelings. Of course, women also go through this. When we do, it is called "cheating". When men do, it is called "mid life crisis":)
Hope you are able to resolve these feelings:) Do you have close girl friends to talk to?
Permalink Reply by Penny on December 6, 2011 at 9:38am Yes I do have friends to talk to but none of them seem to be in the place I am in. I was curious to how other women deal with these feelings also I am quite certain that the way in which my relationship began and has now progressed has a lot to do with the way I feel...I recently read an article about women in the 1970's who abandoned their family's and went out into the world seeking themselves many were accused of cheating and were not, most of them were just seeking another role in life wanting to see what the world looked like from a man's perspective...

I laughed when I read her reply about the comparison between men and women cheating. Regrets suck! If I could take back the last 5 years of my life and start over from there, I would. I never thought that I could be so stupid in a relationship after being my age. Consider everything you do carefully; that's my advice. Try to remember anyone you know who may have experienced something similar and analyze the outcome. Stupid decisions at any point in one's life can adversely affect you and everyone around you. Best to you.
