Looking for your opinion

As an aspiring novelist I would love to hear comments from those of you who enjoy reading. My debut novel has been picked up by a publisher and is slated for release this Nov.

I have been tossing around the idea of placing a teaser of my first two chapters up on my website (www.fictionbycmholst.webs.com), but wonder if I should wait until closer to the release date so the story will be fresh in the minds of my potential readers.

What do you think? Is it too soon to post anything?

i have always dreamed of being a famous author since i was 7 years old, and congrats on making that achievement. if i were you, if you really would love to do a teaser, i would put one now and one later...or both later when its closer to the release date, but definately do some then as it'll be fresh in their minds. when it comes out in november, if i buy a copy, will you sign it for me? what is your book about?

OMG! Tammy, I am so sorry. I'm such crap. I had no idea you replied to my question. I've been crazy busy with writing trying to meet my deadline that I reallly haven't done much else. Seriously. Ask my husband, he'll gladly attest to that. :)

I decided to post the first 4 chapters of EVERLEIGH as a teaser. When the release date gets closer I'll start promoting them again.

EVERLEIGH IN NYC is a light-hearted, comical tale about a young woman from a small town who dreams of making it in the big apple. Her life takes a dramatic turn when she lands the job of her dreams, her ex-boyfriend re-declares his love for her, and discovers she has the ability to read minds. But only one. Everleigh is privy to the private thoughts of her new boss, Robert Cates. She knows Robert is falling for her, but is she willing to risk everything she's worked her whole life for for this person who may or may not be the man of her dreams?

I'll absolutely sign a copy for you. Thanks for asking. Makes me feel like a proper author to sign copies.
